- Soft Rock Songs -

Silly Love Songs by Sir Paul McCartney

I got sick of it when it came out, but over time it held up.

I put it in subgenre yacht rock which is a close cousin of soft rock. They overlap.
hmm... Maggie May is not hard rock, but I'm not sure if I'd consider it soft rock either. Anyhoo, it's a really good tune.

Incidentally, it has one of my favorite terrible lyric:
"I laughed at all of your jokes, my love, you didn't need to coax"

Rod always seems to have one of those in every song. Witness "Tonight's The Night":

"Let your inhibitions run wild"
"She May Call You Up Tonight" - Left Banke
"Where To Now St Peter" - Elton John
"Hitch A Ride" - Boston
