this time control MUST be under a new rating category. Hyperbullet should also be under a new rating category. Maybe group all of these 1 sec - 59 secs variants under the name "Tachyon chess" (can anyone fault me for loving this name so much :P?).

"Lightning chess" would be nice as the new category name ! but I think there's something to be said about 0 +1 games too.
Bullet chess is already known as lightning chess :P. That's why I want to adopt the name tachyon chess :). Faster than lightning!

Games with under 1 minute on the clock have been called "quantum chess" for over a decade on several chess servers. Far from a new idea.
