A new logo for Lichess

@Artifook Agreed. I think there's a small chance that the committee will revisit their decision, on the grounds that the designer, @sadsnake1, arrived at a brilliant solution very late, but I'm not optimistic. It doesn't help that there's no mechanism on this website (e.g., feature voting) whereby users can provide feedback, save for making comments in the forums.

Bottom line: I think we may be stuck with the "fortune cookie horse" for awhile.

Hey everyone, I am building a chess app and I wanted to a new chessboard and pieces for that but I don't know where to get it. Can anybody help me. Really appreciate!!

Don't take my word for it but I think there are a few sets and board themes on lichess you can use. The licenses of some of them are listed here: github.com/ornicar/lila/blob/master/COPYING.md

I personally liked the old one better but I do think it’s cool that the new logo is more original.

Mine didn’t update, anyone know why?

try clearing your cache , or a hard refresh CTRL + F5

@imakitty I think we're in agreement that a logo designed for the website is a definite advance over simply using a preexisting design. I just hope the next version better captures the essence of Lichess than the fortune cookie horse.

This is a firefox logo. Please get back to the old one, it was hell lot better.

My thoughts only, but as a donor I would say there should be a vote about this.

You mean apart from the firefox logo being a fiery fox surrounding the globe (AKA fire fox all around the world geddit?) and nothing like the new (and imo very good) new lichess logo, which represents a knight head chess piece and a circle to subtly indicate chess being played all around the world.
In which case I take your point.
