meh thats not chess with a twist that a chess like game that has nothing to do with the strategy of playing chess its like an other board game which I dont find that exciting or maybe I find other board games much more exciting than this one so why to have a crippled down version of chess with some colors if I can buy lets say monopoly...

Maybe it could work better with files instead of colors? The thing with colors is that the board would look really unorganised and messy.

I mean its like ordering a steak and you get a steakshaped dish made out of something else than meat...
For example chess with a twist is like the introduction of other pieces like "the elephant" in the YasserChess variant

I think its sorta like ultrabullet, hard at the beginning but as you play it, it makes more and more sense
I'd say that so far, there's not much possibility of that variant becoming implemented: many games that change the character of chess "drastically" have been shot down before now.
Examples of failed proposals include, Bughouse, Dark chess, Kriegspiel, etc. etc.
Technically Dark Chess isn't a failed proposal; it's just that Lichess already has many variants and it's a difficult one to code.
