Please can someone here kindly explain stockfish and how it's use in lichess. I wish to know more about it.

🤔 As of March 2014, Stockfish is the chess engine used by Lichess, a popular online chess site.
Stockfish source code can be compiled to WebAssembly or JavaScript, allowing it to run in the internet browsers. Both chess.com and lichess.org provide Stockfish in this form, in addition to a server-side program (server as analysis tool that can be used by lichess-members and also a very reliable benchmark in cheat detection) 🤫
