Hi All,
Lichess on my computer takes really long to load.
I have a good network connection and no latency. All other websites load normally. Only Lichess not.
How do I fix?
Does that problem still occur if you use a different browser?
Same for me, starting late afternoon hours lichess starts becoming slower and slower, basically unusable.
Testing the lag on lichess says everything is fine...the only other website with the same issue is chessable.
No other websites are affected.
I have tried deleting the browser cache, different browsers like Firefox, Chrome and Edge.
Also tried browser version of lichess on different devices = same result
The mobile app version however is working fine.
I have no idea how to fix it.

Yes.
And this affects forums and blogs pages as well?
Yes, in my experience, it affects everything, especially the loading of graphics and images (i.e. blog headers etc.) I have encountered the same problem for close to three months now, sometimes it is worse, sometimes better. Generally, I agree that it occurs most often in the afternoon/evening hours of European time, when the server is most crowded. I have also noticed that most of the users who seem to have encountered the same issues are from Germany as well, so maybe it is something outside of lichess' control. Maybe it has something to do with server accessibility. Thanks for looking into this!
I wanted to post a quick update: Currently I am trying to play in the agadmator Christmas Arena, and lichess is sadly almost completely unusable. I have lost two straight games because the game page did not load in time (it took more than 20 sec). This is a very serious issue, and it would be really great to get some help with this! I have no idea what the cause of the problem is, but very evidently it seems to flare up when the server is crowded. This morning, I played another tournament, and it was completely fine, everything working perfectly. It would be awesome to get some support for this!

Strange. Can I get a thumbs up or reply from everyone who is experiencing these borderline site outages?
I am having the same problem. I am also from the same country. The problem occurs on my windows pc when using chrome and/or edge (only a tiny bit faster). The problem does not occur when using my android phone and i dont think the problem is nearly as bad when using a different computer (but not completely gone).
@Metzge did you have a chance to test the connection with another computer/or phone?
is your android phone using the same wireless as the PC or is it using cellular internet?
