To reproduce the weird behavior:
for move 39 for black play rook d2.
Stockfish recomments for black to respond with 39: Rxd2+ and it is promising mate in 36.
However if instead you play 39 Rook a1+
Blacks only move is Kc2.
Then for white you play Rook a2+ it becomes a mate in 9.
Why is Stockfish recommending the incorrect move?
