No incoming messages in my inbox folder after deleting messages

Hi all,

I deleted old news messages from an Lichess account in my inbox folder to save space and keep track of the messages. I did this with the trash icon.

My problem is now that I don't receive further messages from this account.

Have I clicked something wrong? Can I repair it?

Definitely not normal behavior but hard to say much from just this. I guess make sure you haven't blocked them? Ofc also make sure they actually sent a message to you. They could also be shadowbanned, so maybe ask them to check lichess.org/appeal? I think if that's the case, you should still be able to see the messages if you directly go to the conversation, e.g. lichess.org/inbox/benwerner (but with their username).

Thanks for your help. I think I found the solution:

It turned out that after deleting messages (several mounths ago, before the team message button existed) the team messages from the club were deactivated.
I renabled the team messages. If I still don't receive any team news, I'll send a message to that account directly.
