pre-move idea; feature request

Hello all, I was thinking in the pre-move option on lichess games. It's useful only if you know your adversary has only one move, or a very obvious move.

If that is not the case, the adversary could make an odd move counting on your pre-move (see this hilarious game for example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gaDwXIM6yQ ).

So my idea is to pre-move based on a predicted move. Something like if he/she does that, I do this. One way of doing it is to make a move on the opposite side, followed by the intended pre-move. The conventional pre-move could be still in place. So, on a given turn one could record as many pre-moves (based on a given scenario) as you want. When the turn is over, the recorded pre-moves are reset to zero.

Do you think is a good idea??

Honestly I don't believe it would work. First it'll take to much time for that premove if you need to type in two moves. And I am a little bit worried how you would type it in anyway. For example you give in your opponents move and while you give in your "premove" he plays something. How to handle that problem? Either you play the "premove" accedentally or you need to waste time with a click onto the board to make clear it is not the intended premove.
Well, it should take twice the time of one pre-move as it is now (you need to make the predicted move and the answer move). I think it could be useful in a tricky tough game were several scenarios are plausible.

I would not use it on a 30s game, but I could use it on a 2+ min game.
The feature as you describe it sounds a lot like something that already exists on lichess, but only for corresondence games. You should try one to see what I mean.

It can shorten a corresondence game by days if both players use this in a forced combination, so it makes perfect sense here. I am not sure what you hope to gain from it in a 5 min game?
The downside of adding new features (such as conditional moves) is the added complexity and slowness that comes with the new features. Do you want lichess to be slower?
This makes no sense. Premoves are there to speed moves up, to use less time that you wouldn't use anyway. Implementing conditional premoves into non-correspondence games would take too long to make, in comparison to the time you'd save with it.
#6 How would you propose the changes be coded such that the resulting code is less complex and more responsive than what lichess currently offers?
How about not? I thought it was pretty obvious I didn't like this change at all.
I second #8's comment.

From a programming point of view, this sounds like a nightmare.

I would consider requesting Stackable pre-moves similar to Chess.com's. One could even have options to choose from regarding how many are they wish to stack.

For now, my method of piece movement in bullet games is to pre-move and already be holding the second piece with my mouse. :)
