That is true for absolutely everyone, for your opponents as well, so it does depend on the pool.

Chess does not get any harder because of the time. It just ends sooner.
Pick a time control that you can complete a game. Don't try to play faster because of the time control.

I spend less that 5 seconds per move, but more than 3.
Maybe I should be playing with a 0+5 increment time.
