these arguments about a lesser winning line or not are out of perspective... are you ever going to be sat down against an opponent in a serious game where your opponent tells you that you are in a position that is winning? no... you have to calculate and find the winning lines when you spot them. so what is this tactics trainer training you to do? to spot situations, and then calculate the winning lines. youre not always going to be bluntly winning a rook... and the complaints of a difference of a bishop or a pawn are out of perspective once again. at top level games it isnt even just a pawn that turns the tides in those games... it is position... something immaterial.
i have no complaints with the tactics trainer and it will make you more accurate. the only time i do have a complaint is in the rare instance when it is incorrect, which i have only seen perhaps three times.
i remember the good ol' times when we used something called 'books'
those things didn't calculate your rating or gave you gold stars and thumbs up and cheery sound effects whenever you by accident did something right

#10 yes, this website seem to have high quality puzzles. The gui is not so pleasant compared to this gui, eg i miss a history of puzzles so that i get a fen of tactics i did not solve.

Since I am a full member there I not sure what is available for free, but there is this very cool feature of different - and even custom - problem sets. There are "problems I got wrong" sets for instance to work on those problems that gave you trouble in the past.
IMHO chesstempo is as close to perfect tactics training as it gets and the GUI is easily pretty enough for my needs. You can even use it on your smartphone or tablet. Highly recommended.
And no, I have no connection to chesstempo other than being a very happy user/customer. :-)

Dont see such a 'problems i got wrong' option, so i guess it is for paying members only. But i add these problems to my chess software anyway, so i do not really need it.
#16 i use this website a few days now and i must say, i like it very much now. First impression was wrong. Especially there are no broken tactics, as these can be reported. I also like the tagging and commenting ability. And if a problem has not enough moves or needs other moves one can suggest the move and other users can vote for it. All in all the best site for tactics i currently know.
