Swiss tournaments are on Lichess

@tpr no, that's not how it works. You don't need 2^n players to have n-round Swiss. Look at real Swiss tournaments, they have 9 rounds and often have less than 100 players
@Whitedancingrockstar So with the software Swisschess, which I use for otb tournaments, such a tournament would never have worked. Lichess still has to work on that! Normally, that's impossible.
I strongly support #58 @jeffforever

Not being paired because of an odd number is one thing. The player should get a full point which is according to the FIDE tournament rules.

A bye is a different thing. The player deliberately wants to pause a round. In this case he should only get half a point.
EDIT: Only once, of course.

@thibault Can players take a bye by hitting the pause button? If so, this should be limited depending on the number of players or completely blocked below a minimum number of players.
@CarlosMagnussen 100 Participants are enough for 9 round swiss system tourney. As I mentioned before, it is possible to have 7 round tourney with 30 participants!
Hi, could someone please point me through the steps to create a swiss? I created a team, and am the leader, but it seems I only have the ability to create an arena tournament. TIA!
@odoaker2015 #83 I also use official Swiss software in the form of Sevilla, and it is definitely possible. Moreover, we even held otb tournaments with many rounds and not too many players and it wasn't a problem. It definitely shouldn't become the way it is over at Chesscom, or even worse: the suggestion made at #69. I agree with #88.

@Whitedancingrockstar #64 Thank you for sharing the dev-test. Very nice to see a real example pan out so nice over so many hours!
