opening training

What is the basis of the opening training? Are they based on typical positions of certain openings or are they generalized opening situations? Can you select positions from a certain opening, like queens gambit positions, sicilian khan, etc. I'm thinking they are problems based on early stages of game and not specific openings. If you could narrow the problems down to the openings you play, that would be terrific. For example, there are hundreds of trappy situations in the dragon that could be used. Just curious. thanks ahead of time for info.
I think that in general opening is the easiest part of the game
at least at our level and I believe this because since We tend to play blitz or lower time controls, "We play always the opening"
so my opening is quite good despite having not studied in a particular way, whereas my endgame is much more lacking i believe, i think this might be true to the mayority of players
as we play a lot of opening,
I think u already have an strong level and u are not gonna understand the opening alone, without strong endgame or maybe middlegame knowledge, i always say the same but its what i believe
The kind of question u are asking of general principles is more for a 1400 player but later once basic set up is understood the opening wont help much I think without a game plan and knowing the direction of the game.
So in summary I would say that the basis of opening training is blitz but that would be only the basis.
What I really would like to see is a sort of opening explorer where everyone can help to introduce and evaluate opening moves and novelties. Like the analysis board where on the right side is a short text about the opening move and an evaluation of the aggression and solidness. This way everyone can look for his sort of openings and build a new opening repertoire.
yes there is something lacking about the classification,
there is already a search function but I dont know my intuition
tells me that with many games maybe
I think there is a nice feauture on chessgames.com where one has to pay, when one introduces a move and it appears
the statistics of the games played and the continuations
with each winning side,
no here in 365chess.com
http://www.365chess.com/eco/C42_Petrov%27s_defence
they give database statistics and so on, so perhaps you are interested in that or lichess could try a new opening study feature besides the one of the training,
maybe its good to use different webs despite the awesomeness of lichess and u study openings in one and endgames in another, I dont know.
What I am trying to say, its that some people use their own database program beside lichess and also the engine so its good to think about that, u might need to use different features of different places if u like to have a method of learning which is not my case, I go with the flow,
but if u are serious aboutt the game u might need another program.
