"This is for idiots"

Why do people accept 0+1 and then, at 3 or 4-0 down suddenly write "this is for idiots"?

If you don't like it, don't play the game.

Don't play me multiple times and then complain when you can't find your butt because I stuffed your face in it really hard.

Sorry - needed to rant. The last idiot really wound me up. HOW MANY TIMES A NIGHT do I need to hear this drivel?

It's like LAG. Have you noticed, the only time people have lag is when they LOSE???
Why would you complain about the lag if you won anyway? Just because they only complain about it when they lose doesn't mean it's a fake excuse.

Maybe you should turn chat off.
There's no such thing as losing because of lag on lichess - the time gets given back.

If people DO have lag, they should get a better internet or not play online chess. Not that difficult tbh.
Weird... nobody ever told that to me. I don't play much 0+1 though.
#5 So what IS true? Let's get a mod in here to prove it either way!

I think it's irresponsible of you to say that if someone lags then they shouldn't play online chess at all.

And you can lose due to lag, the time is only given back if the move can be completed. If you run out of time before the move is completed, the time won't be given back.
Yes, turn off chat, that's the answer. I did it long ago, there's no reason for it in real-time games played below certain time limits, there's no time to chat anyway and you can just turn it on at the end if you're desperate to say something.

Also, it's just a comment in the chat box of an online chess game, I think the more relevant question is why you let it wind you up so much. Who cares about some anonymous whining on the Internet, seriously?
#1 I haven't experienced anything like this before. It simply makes no sense. On the other hand, everyone gets mad when he loses, specially in online bullet chess. This is the reason why things are typed in the chat. Normally after a couple of minutes when one is relaxed he understands that typing s### in chat wont help him win or get a rematch. I myself get very mad after stupid losses on time on bullet, but i dont see how chatting bad things will help (if i do so i try to apologise later). If someone says something like that to you, then simply leave and start another game, dont let it bother you it happens all the time :)

Btw i dont think that tyrning off the chat is the solution, chatting is a very nice feature in online chess.

Have a good one :)
You could be encountering 1+0 or 2+0 players who are upset at their lack of proficiency at 0+1.

I know for myself that 0+1 is too risky with my poor connection, but I can get away with 1+0 or 2+0, even with a little lag.
